- Support materials, such as CD's and handouts are often given each month as well.

InnerChi Roots...
A Time Honored Tradition
The Chinese have studied the energy of the human body for centuries. This study is one of the earliest activities documented in human civilization and dates back to the reign of the Yellow Emperor (2690-2590 B.C.). It continues to expand and develop to this very day. The results form a sophisticated and meticulous body of knowledge bringing together three disciplines usually treated completely separate in the West: Medicine, Philosophy and Martial Arts.
"Given harmony the body knows how to balance itself."
-Yellow Emperor

The Yellow Emperor
At age 92, after 70 years of research, the Yellow Emperor revealed Tao-Yin (Dao-Yin) which is now also known as Taoist Yoga: a non-religious method of self-improvement. The Yellow emperor studied longevity because he believed you needed to live long enough to make enough mistakes to finally figure things out. He achieved enlightenment at age 111. He left his body at age 122 by choice. Many principles came from Tibet and India. Taoist Yoga is the art and science of experiencing the Grand Ultimate Tai Chi; harmonizing thoughts, feelings, and actions for the purpose of health cultivation, longevity, clear-thinking, and peace of mind.
"The mind leads and the energy follows.
Tension is a sign of imbalance and often the first sign of disease.
We eliminate tension by using the postures to first identify these patterns
and then release that which is unnecessary."
-Yellow Emperor

Effortless Presence is our Goal.
What is Chi Kung (Qi Gong)?
Chi Kung, or "Energy Exercise," is the study of standing, sitting, moving meditation to harmonize the energies of mind, body, and emotion, through the "relaxation response" and expanded awareness. You can learn how to relax anytime, anywhere with the Tai Chi "flow experience". In Chi Kung (Qi Gong), patterns of simple natural and flowing movements identify the patterns of imbalance in body, mind, and emotion so that they may be released, thus restoring health and peace of mind "to put more years in your life and more life in your years." Chi Kung offers a method of training the nervous system, the mind, internal organs and the subtle-energetic body, so that the inner strength of the whole person is raised to a new level of power, health and fitness.
"Relax. The Tai Chi is Unlimited."

We trust the sun to return for a new day. On a cloudy day, we may not see the sun, but we trust that it is still there. We consider your health, peace of mind, and life's purpose to be like the sun within you. It may feel obscured by clouds. Know that it is always there and that the clouds that obscure it can evaporate with your mindful awareness as the winter's snows are melted by the coming of summer's wind.
What we are today
Comes from our thoughts of yesterday.
Our thoughts of today
Build our life of tomorrow.
Our life is the reflection of our mind. -The Buddha
